Keeping the focus on Kentucky's horses ... Working for the welfare of us all, Misdee has accepted a seat on the board of directors of the newly formed Kentucky Equine Educational Project. KEEP is a non-profit organization whose mission is to build broad-based education and grassroots initiatives to increase state-wide awareness of the benefits of Kentucky's $4 billion equine economy, for all breeds of horses. This is a real opportunity to make a difference. Joan says, "I know many of you don't need another project to take up your time -- nor do I -- but I just accepted the position of Washington County Team Leader, because I believe this organization will make a difference." If you'd like to learn more about what you can do, contact KEEP.

Many thanks to Ali Judah for catch-riding Harlem For President for us. This beautiful horse was a stallion until early July. After the horse healed from his little surgery, Ali -- with little opportunity to practice -- was thrown into the show ring to learn as she went. Ali rode Harlem For President to capture the Reserve World's Championship Junior Exhibitor Five Gaited, for 14-15 year old riders.

Another show ring champion offered for sale by Judah Saddlebreds is the WGC CHRadiant Success. This champion in harness and under saddle was shown by Ali this year in the Youth Fine Harness division. Ali drove the seasoned campaigner to championship wins at Asheville and Rock Creek, and won the Reserve World's Championship at Louisville. Now back under saddle with his mane on, WGC CHRadiant Success is awesome, a family horse that is as versatile as they come.

Jeff Ramey, congratulations! Jeff, whose busy schedule prevents him from showing as much as he'd like, captured a nice win at the recent Kentucky Fall Classic aboard his five-gaited beauty Callaway's Ellis Island.

It's a four-peat! Marion "Bit" Hutcheson, of Happy Valley Farm in Rossville, Georgia, has won the Amateur Five Gaited World's Championship again, making this the fourth year in a row. Marion's walk/trot mare In My Soul was the Open Three Gaited Over 15.2 winner at Asheville, and won the championship there, as well, shown by Neil Visser.

Bobby and Renee Rinzler enjoy watching a nice young horse develop and rise to its potential. So, in 2001, their R&R Farms acquired from Kalarama the gifted and good-looking bay son of (SA) Tornaado, Tornaado's Storm Warnings. While the Rinzlers patiently waited, their colt turned into a big, impressive, and mature horse. In this, his first year of showing, Storm Warnings (with Neil Visser riding) won the Five Gaited Novice class at Midwest. Afterward, he was taken to the three-gaited division, and at Louisville, Tornaado's Storm Warnings won the reserve world's championship for Three Gaited Park Stallion & Gelding horses. Way to go, Bobby and Renee -- your patience has paid off before and looks like it has again!

Commanding the ring ... Jim Orr has a new and exciting junior walk/trot horse -- Cabernet's Will Command. He won the reserve world's championship title this year, as well as a reserve at Lexington against the toughest competition in the land. Deborah Visser showed this beautiful horse to his successful showing at the Kentucky Fall Classic. Cabernet's Will Command looks to be the best three-gaited hopeful for the amateur or ladies division.

Mr. Orr's three-year old five-gaited Love Bite (out of Hillcrest Enjoli, the dam of CHHeir To Champagne) got into the show ring for his first time at Shelbyville and came out of that competition strong and appears to be another amateur star on the horizon. And, the expressive Only In New York WRF was a winner at Kentucky Spring Premier Horse Show in the Novice Five Gaited division.

Congratulations to Mary Gaylord McLean for her recent win aboard I'm A Treat in the hotly contested Amateur Five Gaited championship at the Kentucky Fall Classic. Mary, along with her trainer Rob Byers, selected I'm A Treat from Mr. Orr's show string in 2003.

Paul and Judy Rice are passionate fans of basketball and of well-bred horses. Evidence: they named their royally bred stallion Harlem’s Go To Man! This big-going chestnut steed is by the five-time World’s Champion Harlem Globetrotter and out of five-time World’s Champion Co-Ed’s Leading Lady. Now a five-year old, Go To Man started his show career strong and is getting stronger. The Rices know the significance of preserving great bloodlines, for they have bred many champions including CHHarlem’s Black Magic, WC Co-Ed’s High Society, WC Clarissa Co-Ed, and RWC Kalarama Co-Ed, as well as the sensational fine harness World’s Champion Co-Ed’s Leading Lady.

One of the newest additions to Kalarama is Frank and Penny St. Charles’ mare April Hi Lite who was third in the Limit Three Gaited class at the Kentucky Fall Classic, and is now being offered for sale.

Rumor has it that Jennie Garlington of Garlington Saddlebreds has acquired a terrific 3-year old. Well, it’s true! The expressive young five-gaited star Stonecroft’s Rumor Has It is Jennie’s mount for the future. Jennie is no stranger to showing nice horses; in 1981, she showed I’m Alive to the Juvenile Three Gaited Championship, then in 2000 this gifted and diverse rider presented her beautiful mare Tribal Love to capture the 5-gaited Pleasure World's Championship.

In addition to these successful feats Jennie has joined the ranks of successful breeders. From her small, retired group of well-bred show mares she has produced WC Gone Platinum and 2004 Sweepstakes winner Supreme Platinum. Coming into his own is her terrific 2-year old Tribal Dance (out of WC Tribal Love by WC Harlem Globetrotter).

The exquisite bay filly Harlem’s Supreme Lady, owned by Fred and Marjorie Curry of Cross Timbers Saddlebreds, has the unusual combination of beauty and power. This half sister to WC My Fair Genius is being gaited.

This fabulous young stallion, shown by Larry Hodge, is only a three-year old. Divine Renaissance is the '03 Two Year Old World's Champion, and this year at Harrodsburg, he was the winner of the UPHA Classic for Three Year Old Five Gaited horses. Congrats to Susan McFadden and Paula Cline for breeding this nice one.
Ali Judah won the World's Championship title with her Champagne In Winter in the five-gaited pony qualifier, then went on to win the reserve world's championship in that division. Within days of these wins, Judah Saddlebreds sold Champagne In Winter to Jennifer Deutsche for her daughter Rebecca. Cash Lovell, of Winston-Salem North Carolina, will be the mare's new trainer. Congratulations!
Little Miss Ryan Visser got a high-powered riding lesson from dad Neil, and Larry Hodge. We see a leadline class in her near future ...

Five-time World’s Champion
Co-Ed’s Leading Lady is the dam of Harlem’s Go To Man, owned by Paul and Judy Rice, Lafollette, Tennessee.
